We are in a collection around here entitled Dating Delilah. And we are studying the biblical

character known as Sampson. Sampson was an Israelite judge whose call from

God was to deliver his people who were oppressed by a

pagan people known as Philistine. Unfortunately for Samson his problem is is that he loves the very thing that God is called

him to deliver others from. How you all know it's hard to defeat darkness when you're dating darkness.

And if you've ever heard the name Sampson, I've learned a lot over the last few weeks that a lot of people know a little about Sampson.

But more often than not, if you've heard the name Samson you've heard

another name that is the name Delilah. Sampson's name literally defined means

sunlight or sunny if you will. Delilah the first part of her name means temptress or temptation

and the back end of her name means of the night.

So we see a contrast of night versus light or good versus evil and although we haven't even met
