Cases of whooping cough spreading across the U.S., especially the Carolinas.

It's technically called pertussis, and it's a bacterial infection causing severe coughing.

More than six times as many woping cough

cases were reported last year compared to 2023, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

So first of all, it is quite contagious in very young children. As many as two-thirds will have

periods where they stop breathing. The rising cases comes as new data from the CDC show a record number

of children did not receive their recommended vaccinations last school year.

They want to make it about vaccinations, but I got vaccinated as a tiny child against whooping

cough, and I got it, if you'll remember, whenever that was, six months ago, worst thing I've

ever had of my life outside of cancer. and you don't want to get it.

So ask your doctor if you should get an update on your whooping cough, because that is no disease you want to have.

Goodness sakes, I got to go get this shot.

Yeah, the booster.

Anyway, my house is a construction zone, and I think I'm overdue for my Titanus shot.

And I really, I really ought to get that.
