Joe Biden wants the U.S. to stop support for the Saudi's war in Yemen.

Representative Rokana of California says that's great. for the exit from Afghanistan and the US COVID response last week.

The president seems to be, at least with language, confusing me just a little bit,

he says he wants to end the Saudi-led war in Yemen.

Presumably he means withdraw the United States from involvement in that war.

What have you asked him to do beyond making that pledge to end U.S. involvement there?

Well, Caleb, I appreciate the clarification because the United States can't end the civil war.

I mean, we can support Martin Griffiths in trying to bring it to an end,

but we can at least eliminate our involvement and take constructive steps to reduce the extraordinary suffering.

The president took a constructive step in stopping our support of the offensive Saudi bombing in Yemen. But the blockade

continues and the blockade is US-backed. We need to make it very clear that the Saudis need to stop the blockade that's causing

starvation of children. I mean, they're not allowing food in there and non-allowing

medicine. The second thing we have to do is make sure that the

Saudis are not funding or frankly that Iran is not funding internal parties in

Yemen. Make it a civil war, don't have the UAE, or Iran funding the parties.

Because until that funding grows up, the war will continue.

So those are two things that I have called on, President Biden to do.

The envoy in Yemen, Tim Lender King has said that boats are

currently off the port of Hodida and a reporter that referenced here by Jake Tapper,

Adema Elbegeir said that's not true.
