When it comes to college athletics, as you guys know, Mississippi State is the premier athletics department and programs in the Magnolia State.

A lot going on is these days, as you can imagine, a lot, a lot of going on.

A couple of things I want to get to pretty early on the show have you

seen this about DAC you know a lot of people have read this about there was these rumors that

kind of circulated you know Dag Prescott's contract negotiations with the cowboys has at times

I guess appeared a little bit contentious I don't know that that, you know, all the behind-the-scenes stuff,

but it feels like they should have been able to get a deal done.

You know, Dak, of course, bet on himself,

and then the Cowboys franchise tagged him.

I don't know that he has signed the franchise tag tender.

I don't believe that is the case,

but he will either play this year under the franchise tag or with a long-term deal. Now,

yesterday, some reports began making the rounds that DAC had turned down an unbelievable contract,

one that would have made him the highest paid quarterback

in NFL history.

Now, of course, that'll last about 15 minutes, you know, because once he signs, there'll be

some other people that sign extensions right behind him.
