They tried every dirty trick in the book, and we won anyway.

And I just, I want that to be a lesson to people.

One, that when we mobilize, we win.

And two, they wouldn't be resorting to these tactics if they could win a good faith argument, but they can't.

Clark. And this is the Suburban Women Problem. After weeks of talking about it, the 2023 election

finally happened. There was so much on the line from the

ballot measure in Ohio to the Virginia legislature to school board races around the country.

I don't know about you, but I've had more than a few sleepless nights worrying about what

was going to happen. And I am so excited to say that last night, Democracy One, it's just like the vice president

said when she joined us for the event last week, when sisters unite, we win.

We're recording this on Wednesday the day after the election, and we're joined by one of our

favorite guests, Jess McIntosh.

Jess, I'm so glad you're here to help us celebrate these wins and talk about what it all means.

I haven't slept in like 24 hours. I am just all hopped up on democracy and coffee and it's awesome.

I mean, what a combination. I actually hadn't slept for a week. So last night,

I slept not very long, but I did sleep without waking up every couple of hours. I mean, we got,

I really can't overstate how important what happened on Tuesday was. It's, it's what we, you know, what we used to refer to as an

off year election, which we all know there's no such thing anymore. It all matters. Everything's on,

you know, every, the stakes are so high every time. Abortion was on the ballot all over the place.
