I often tell our people here at our church that everything that is going to happen eventually

will, and that may sound nonsensical, but heaven is a real place, and we are going there.

We sing about heaven and talk about heaven as if, well, it's really just something to sing

about and talk about. But if we're saved, we are going there. And I would like to encourage

our listeners to ask themselves this question, when I get to where I'm headed, where will

I be? Because everybody's either headed toward heaven or hell. I want to go to heaven.

That's not mere sentimentality. I want to go and by the grace of God I am.

Carrie Vaughn, the CEO of Love We're Finding, Carrie, we just heard from Adrian Rogers,

something he said just shortly before he transitioned into heaven. Now we have more from that conversation

coming up in just a moment. But first, let's introduce today's message. When we all

get to heaven, part two, scripture reference, 1 John 3, 1 through 3.

Dr. Rogers talks about several things in this passage, but there's some key things that

I want you to remember. You know, when we experience the sweetest fellowship on earth,

we can anticipate joy beyond comprehension. And so what we hear in this passage is, we

must identify what we are. That's the first thing you talk about. You know, who we are

in Christ. The second thing is, it reveals what we will be, which is our Christian destiny.

And then the third thing that I love that Dr. Rogers really takes his time on confirms

what we should be, which is our Christian responsibility. And then it leaves us with

this definition of hope. Hope is absolute certainty, mingled with anticipation.
