In this podcast, Dr. Berg talks about when to take vitamins and supplements. Taking supplements doesn’t affect ketosis and it is not going to break intermittent fasting.

• Vitamin B Complex or Vitamin C: Take anytime (except vitamin b1 or benfotiamine, you must take it with food or fat to help it be absorbed.)

• Fat Soluble Vitamins (vitamin A, D, E, K, K2): Better digested with Food / Fat

• D3 and K2: Don’t take dairy with it.

• Stomach Acid Supplements and Enzymes: Take before the meal

• Purified Bile Salts (Gallbladder Support): Take it after your meal

• Greens Product: Take it with a meal or with bulletproof coffee

• Herbs and Tea: Anytime

• Electrolytes and EDTA, IP6 or Chelators: Empty Stomach

• Calcium: Take it right before you go to bed.

• Probiotics: Right before you go to bed

0:47.6

question come up multiple times, when do I take supplements and so I'm just going

0:51.9

I'm just going to create this video to explain when to take them. It's kind of a minor point

0:56.5

when to take them. It's not a major thing except for a couple little things. They'll still work,

1:01.5

but this will help optimize it a little bit. And by the way, when you're taking supplements, it's not going to affect your ketosis. It's not going to break in a minute fasting, okay, as an FYI. So I just did two videos and one, by the way.

1:16.0

Okay, Vitamin B complex or Vitamin C, you can take that any time. These are mainly water-s liable except for like the fat-siable B-1 that's

1:26.7

called bin Fotamine. You'd want to take that with food or fat to help it be absorbed. And then you have fat soluble vitamins like vitamin A, D, E and K or K2.

1:38.0

These are better digested with food or fat.

1:43.0

But let's say for example in the morning,

1:44.5

you have the bulletproof coffee, you have a little fat in your coffee.

1:47.4

Well, you can definitely take these then

1:49.2

because that fat will help the absorption.

1:52.2

Okay. And by the way, when you're taking D3 in K2

1:57.8

to remove excess calcium from the body,

2:01.1

whether it is a kitty stone or calcium in the arteries or

2:04.5

calcium in the joint or whatever. You don't want to be taking dairy with that.

2:09.2

Okay, so you want to eliminate dairy because you don't want that extra calcium. You want to kind of create a void of calcium so this will just suck it right out of the soft tissue.

2:20.0

All right, now when dealing with the stomach you have various things, you have stomach acidifiers,

2:26.0

butane how to chloride, you have alpside of vinegar, pills for example.
