God has designed faith, which is the strength of a Christian, to feed on the word.

The food of faith is scripture.

If you do not feed your faith, it atrophies. Know that word? Get smaller,

weakens, goes limp. And you wonder, why am I weak Christian? Why don't I have joy like others have

joy in worship? Why don't I have courage at work to witness? Why am I defeated in temptation?

It's because your faith is hungry.

Dawson Trotman was saved as a young truck driver on a lumber yard in Los Angeles in 1926.

And God opened his eyes to the value of the word in his life, that it's the food of faith,

and that faith starves without it.

And he began to memorize the Bible, verse a day.

And after three years, he said, I've got my first thousand.

The first thousand in three years. Now, if Dawson Trotman, at age, I don't know what age it was,

but if he can, if he can use truck driving to review systematically a thousand verses for the first three years of his Christian life,

then we can learn 52 verses in 1997 in 365 days.
