And when they came nigh to Jerusalem unto Bethpage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives,

he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, go your way into the

village over against you, and as soon as you be entered into it, ye shall find a coltide,

whereon ever man sat, loose him and bring him. And if any man say unto you, why do ye this,

say ye that the Lord hath need of him? And straightway he will send him hither.

And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met,

and they loose him. And certain of them that stood there said unto him unto them, what do ye

loosing the colt? And they said unto them, even as Jesus

had commanded, and they let them go. And they brought the cult to Jesus and cast their garments on

him, and he sat upon him. Now we're journeying with Jesus through Mark chapter number 11, and we have come

to one of the truly high and holy days in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Actually, this was a high holy day for all of Israel.

As a matter of fact, this particular event that we're approaching was the feast of Passover.

It is the time when all of Israel is celebrating. Jerusalem is filled with

people, travelers from all over the kingdom. And it is at this moment that the Lord Jesus Christ

comes to officially present himself to the nation of Israel as their Messiah. Now, we know they're

going to reject him.

They're going to receive him when he rides into the city, but that's all they want.
