We're so glad that you're here and we pray that God will give you hope in times of difficulty.

Rick is taking us through the book of Daniel and that's so we'll be equipped to handle whatever curveball life throws at us, even the most difficult trials.

So excited to hear what Rick will share today, here's part one of a message called When the Heat is On.

We're in this series on the life of Daniel.

We're looking at the nine greatest test of life. Every time

Daniel passes a test, he gets a promotion. And I think it told you that before every blessing comes a

testing. God tests you with stress before he trusts you with success. God wants to know, are you blessable?

Can he, do you have the character and the maturity

and the integrity to handle what he wants to do in your life?

And so he tests you.

And every time you pass the test,

then you get the blessing in your life.

And we've looked at a major change,

and we've looked at five, four different tests.

Today we're going to look at the test of when the heat is on. Do any of you remember the Eddie Murphy

movie, Beverly Hills Cop? Anybody remember that movie? You're a lot older than you look. And the producers

wanted a theme song for that movie. And so they hired Glenn Fry of the Eagles. The Eagles

were a band that were broken up at the time, and they paid him a flat $15,000 to record a song called The Heat Is On.

Anybody remember this song?

It became one of the biggest international hits of the decade.
