Well, hello there. It's Morgan here. And today I just wanted to share a piece that I found a lot of comfort in when I created it. So for anyone that might be in a space of just needing a little comfort, a little warm hug in the form of words, it is my hope that these words can be just that. May you have

0:26.3

moments in the sunlight that your soul never forgets. May you encounter love as strong as music,

0:34.9

and there's no need to question it. May you travel the earth, trusting that for all

0:41.9

of the unknowns, there will also be moments in music and in sunlight that remind you, you are not

0:52.2

alone. I wrote this while painting yellow and as I painted the yellow,

1:01.9

I heard the sound of people chattering in the background and it was because I was painting in a space where I was near some people who

1:16.2

were gathering not too far. And I never saw the people, never saw how many of them there were. I

1:23.7

don't know anything other than just hearing them. And it sounded like they were having a good time.

1:29.8

So I heard them laughing. And I just so happen to be close enough to the window. And as I was

1:36.0

painting, I heard them. And immediately, I just thought about how I hope that this is a good moment that they remember.

1:47.3

And I don't know who they were.

1:49.2

I never saw them.

1:50.9

But I just hoped that for them.

1:54.0

And that's something that I try to do when I sit down and to create something is I try to think about how this connects to something I'm hearing

2:08.4

or seeing or sensing. And in that moment, it's literally just hearing. A lot of times it's something

2:14.9

very, very literal. And I'm always amazed in doing that how it ends up connecting back to me.

2:23.7

Because if I sat down to try and say something to myself like that, I would not have gotten there.

2:30.4

I don't know if I'm really capable of that level of introspection in terms of like just something that I can just access all the time.

2:40.8

I don't see internally like that. I'm like what what does Morgan need to hear right now? I don't know. I don't know. I'm like I'm not interested in that. Let me just look at the tree and let me just

2:52.2

contemplate the tree and we'll get back to me later. It's probably my Enneagram 5 there.

2:58.6

But that is absolutely where I start. That's my starting point. But what I find so fascinating

3:05.6

is how it ends up coming back to something that I did need to hear.
