The nation is in turmoil.

David is in the palace, but Saul, the king of Israel, is trying desperately to kill him.

All of his friends say, David, get out of here, flee, run for your life. It's the only hope you have.

But in the midst of that setting, God is teaching David to wait on the Lord and to live by faith. That's the context of one of the

greatest Psalms in all of Scripture. It is a psalm of a nation and a man in turmoil, thinking what can

be done? You ever feel that way? You ever feel like the world is spinning out of control like the wicked or winning

like you don't know exactly what to do well listen to the holy spirit inspired words of psalm 11

david wrote in the lord put i my trust how say ye to my soul flee as a bird to your mountain

for lo the wicked bend their bow. They make ready

their arrow upon the string, that they may privately shoot at the upright in heart. And then one of the

most famous verses in all of Scripture, if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
