Well, maybe like me, you've read through the scripture a few times, and there are moments that you read

in the Old Testament and you think, how in the world could I share anything from this with my

children? It seems so adult in nature or so routine in all these numbers. How do you help your

kids understand these difficult parts of the scripture?

We're here to answer that question today. I'm John Fuller, along with Dr. Danny, who's our

vice president of parenting. And Danny, as parents, when we have scripture and we want our kids to

understand it, we've got to know it. And so a lot of times I find myself searching through

the scripture and looking at commentaries trying to figure out, how do I communicate this to my kid?

It's kind of a challenge, isn't it? Oh, it is. I mean, we're expected to become theologians

as parents and to know how to answer these big questions. But there's a

mystery to who God is. And we need to teach our kids about trembling at his word. He says,

I'm looking for these specific people in Isaiah. He says, somebody who is humble, contrived in spirit,

and trembles at my word. And we get so stuck in the theology of things that we miss out on this

thing. God's saying, I'm not looking for the most talented, the smartest, all that. I'm looking for
