What I'm about to share with you from my heart and not only from my heart,

because I genuinely believe you cannot walk with Jesus for longer

than a decade without experiencing disappointment of seeing people that you look up to, people

that lead you, people that you trust, people whose books you read, podcasts you subscribe

to, without experiencing at least one or two

disappointments with spiritual leaders. Some of those leaders might not be spiritual leaders at church.

They could be someone in your home, your father, or maybe a mentor or a coach that as a young believer

helped you to go from point A to point B. In fact, they were instrumental in forming your

spiritual character. And then you cannot be a Christian for a long time without encountering

this, what I'm about to share with you.

When you discover facets of their life, whether an accident or God exposes that, or it becomes

a public scandal, and now your personal faith is shaking to the core because here is a person

you aspire to be like and you find out they are

a fraud, fake, or they have more problems and they're not real. What Ted does to many people is

it throws them into whirlwind of confusion.

Now my personal experience, and I've experienced about this about maybe three times or four times,

in my young Christian life.

One of them happened about 20 years ago.
