As we begin our prayer today, let's start with three deep breaths.

And really, these just help us to settle in and let go of all of the things that weigh on our mind all the time.

Let's just take some breaths together and settle in.

In, out.

One last breath.

Okay. One last breath. As we pray today, we're going to have a prayer where some of us are going to be praying and some of us are going to be receiving. We recognize it in community, there's people who are facing all sort of circumstances all at once, be it there

are unique times when there are certain individuals going through circumstances who need

strength and support. So today, if you find yourself walking through grief,

if you find yourself overwhelmed by the circumstances and situations of life,

then we are praying for you.

And in this prayer, if you don't find yourself in that place, you can join me

and praying for our community members who are facing that. I remember when Judah lost his

dad and going through grief, there was times he couldn't pray for himself. And for me, it was such

an honor and a privilege to be able to pray for him.

So today that is what we're going to do. We're going to pray for those who can't pray for themselves.

In fact, in Psalm 61 in verse 2, the poet declared, when I'm feeble and I'm overwhelmed by life,

lead me to a rock that is higher than I, for you have been my refuge.

If you find yourself in that place of grief or loss or mourning,

please just take a moment and sit and listen.

You don't have to do anything.

Give yourself permission to say, I'm feeble.

I'm overwhelmed.
