But it just so happens that the next text and our journey through

Samuel's life is all about how important it is for leaders among God's people to glorify him.

And this is a really important word from God for all of us today, certainly for anyone, any of us who's

in any position of leadership or influence in someone else's life, which I'm going to show you

actually includes most of us. And this is a really important word from God

because all of us are affected by leaders.

For good or bad,

and particularly those in positions of spiritual leadership,

you think about it, so many people's perception of God,

of Jesus, of the church

is shaped by leaders in the church. Or, at the very least, by the people who claim to know and

follow Jesus. So many of our lives have been influenced and transformed in glorious ways through good spiritual leaders and

influences. And unfortunately, so many have been turned away from God or the church and or hurt

in really harmful ways by people who are in positions of spiritual leadership.

So I just want us to walk through God's word today verse by verse and phrase by phrase and pause
