Well, welcome everybody to the Mormon newscast.

I'm joined by my esteemed colleagues, Rebecca Biblioteca, and Radio Free Mormon.

Glad that both of you are along for this ride tonight.

We've got a big show tonight. Welcome to the audience for joining us. We're glad you're here. RFM and Rebecca, how are you guys doing this evening? Rebecca's tanned and sit, ready to go. I can see. That's why when we first came in, we were laughing because RFM goes, do you have a spray tan, Rebecca? I'm like no I've been out gardening people do go outside not in Seattle probably to get tan but in Utah yes if you're outside you're going to get tan I think there's a study been done on what percentage of people who do get spray pans spray tans answer yes I got a spray tan when asked. I've never had wins.

Well, we've got a big show tonight packed with things.

started here. You know how that goes, Rebecca? Yeah, I do. No, call the surf. I was a primary pianist at age 11.

So we sang that a lot. Called to purve him, heavenly king of glory, chosen air to witness for his name. No, no, no, no. Yeah., oh yeah. And we'll be going into that. The other story, too, this will actually show up later in the show, but it's another abuse story. Mormon family arrested for abuse. So we'll get to that one as well. A whole family. Yeah. Yeah, it's a little crazy. And we've got a story on Tim Baller being acquitted. Yes, that's mine.

We've got Temple updates from both, I think, Heber as well as Fairview, Grand Marshal at the

Days of 47 parade, which was Elder Holland, and a few other little fun stories along the way.

I'll be doing the first story tonight. And so with that, I'm going to put up on the screen this.

Department of Justice, press release, former missionary, charged with sexually abusing minors.

You can see the other article there on the left, same story. On July 16th, 2025, a federal grand jury in Pennsylvania, indicted 28-year-old William James Purdy of West Valley City, Utah for sexually exploiting minors in Tonga.

Purdy is accused of grooming and abusing at least 14 young boys while serving as a missionary

for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2017 and later returning in 2019
