Well today was the one year anniversary of the market bottom in 2020.

It was March 23rd a year ago today that the market bottom.

Then one reason that I remember that day is this is also the anniversary of my birth.

I am 58 years old today.

And the market really didn't celebrate either of these anniversaries.

Everything pretty much was down across the board.

All of the major US stock market indexes finished down.

The S&P and the Dow Jones down a little bit less than a percent down just over 300 points.

The NASDAQ which was positive for a good portion of the morning it rolled over and closed

down a little over 1 percent.

But the big loser was the Russell 2000.

That index got slaughtered by just over 3.5 percent.

So a big drop there but really no relief anywhere.

Oil stocks got hammered today on a $4 drop in the price of oil.

Back down to 57.40 gold also was down but by a relatively small amount.

Gold off about $10.11.

Silver on the other hand got a much bigger hit.

Silver got clobbered about 70 cents.
