Hey, good morning, everybody. It's Friday. It's the 22nd of May.

2026. I hope everybody's doing well. Good morning. Let me see those dancing bananas.

If you can hear me, we'll do a quick little sound check and see if this thing is working. This little microphone right here. I'm in a hotel room

in Little Rock, Arkansas. You're doing a weekend of shows. I had a great crowd last night. Looking

forward to more this weekend. If you're in the Little Rock area, come hang out with us. As you know,

when I'm in the hotel room, I'm trying to be respectful

for, you know, the big six-foot-six hairy guy that's probably trying to sleep next door,

and I don't want to wake him up and have him upset with me. If we do, that's going to end the show

abruptly. Welcome to Before the Noise. My name is Chad Prather. This is my devotional time.

We spend this hour working through the scripture.

We've been working through the Book of Mark, and I hope you're enjoying it so far.

The pattern that we're seeing is Jesus revealing himself, and then there's resistance to that.

But there's a crowd that's building around Jesus.

His reputation is spreading all of the things that he's doing more so the things he's doing

than the things he's teaching. They still don't quite understand who he is, but some people are

knowing that he's doing some miraculous things and so they're kind of tuning in and following him.

And so I want to pick up here with a story of a story of interruption, a story of delay, a story

of when you really need God to move on your behalf. And he pauses right in the middle of that.

So we're in Mark chapter 5. I've got all my little screens up here. I've got my phone. I've got my iPad with my Bible on it. I've got you guys here. So I'm trying not to be too distracted. It's hard when we're not, quite honestly, it is hard when we're not in the studio. And we're trying to do this. So let's, you guys can see me okay, everything's good. I think you guys are there. I assume that you're there. I'm sure somebody will let me know. If not, Partyfow Steve is our hall monitor. He'll put you in time out. I'll tell you what I'm going to do, I'm going to turn this Wi-Fi off and see if we can get a cell signal on this,
