been going through this epistle to the churches in the region of Galatia as it was known at the time

we know it today is modern-day Turkey and we're actually going to finish

on this last day of the year the last part of chapter 6 and with it the book so we'll begin

the new year Lord willing in a new book the next book which is the book. So we'll begin the new year, Lord willing, in a new book, the next book, which is

the book of Ephesians. Really looking forward to that. So our text today is going to be

verses 11 through 18 in chapter 6. And if you're able, I'll ask you to stand, pardon me, you can

follow along as I read, beginning

of verse 11 where the Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit is writing and he says, see what large

letters I use to write to you with my own hand?

Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be

circumcised.

The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. Not even those who are circumcised keep the law,

yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh.

May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ through which the world has been crucified to me and I to the world.

Neither verse 15 circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything. What counts is the new creation.

Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule to the Israel of God. From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body

the marks of Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters, amen.
