Well, we had an eventful week this week.

We hosted a party on Monday night, and about 15 minutes into the party, I was greeting

somebody out in the front lawn, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw my 10-year-old

son go sailing through the air, and I hit like a bar barricade fence and I heard him start screaming.

So a group of us ran over there and we have a swing in a tree that you can mount up at the top

of our yard.

It kind of our yard's on a slope and the idea is that you sort of jump onto the seat on this

rope swing and as you swing, you're kind of higher in the air. He decided to not jump onto the seat on this rope swing, and as you swing,

you're kind of higher in the air.

He decided to not sit on the seat, but just to Tarzan the thing, got a lot of momentum and about midway through at max velocity released.

And so just went on a straight vertical for a few feet before he hit a fence and then hit

a rock and a stump on the ground that knocked a big hole in his

head. So a group of us ran over there. Grace of God, a PA showed up early, so thank the Lord

for the medical community. And so she was holding his neck, making sure he wasn't injured different

places. But in the midst of that, I was watching my son cry, and I could tell because I know him,

I'm like, there's a couple things going on here.

One is the physical pain of that hurt.

Two is the emotional sadness that such things can happen in such a cruel and unjust world,

that a swing can turn into a setting of tragedy.
