To justify easy divorce, many a church have lowered the biblical standards in the name of love.

But listen to me, whatever is contrary to the scripture is neither loving on the one hand nor spiritual on the other.

Why do I say this?

Because human standards can be either more lenient or more strict than the Word of God.

Certainly it can never be right.

Not too many years ago, divorced people rarely attended local churches.

The prevailing thought was that a real Christian never divorces

and will never be accepted as part of the church.

But the fact is that Christians do get divorced.

We also know that Jesus speaks to the topic of divorce more pointedly and more compassionately than anyone.
