When Harry Met Sally is often considered the greatest romantic comedy of the modern era.

If you fast forward past Cary Grant and Catherine Hepburn, Clark Gable and Roslyn Russell,

you can essentially go straight to 1989, Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, when thinking about

romcom icons. There were of course great romcoms in the predated when Harry met Sally, Moonstruck, Bull Durham, Working Girl,

but those films for various reasons get skipped when we think about the start of the

modern romcom. When we think about that, we almost

always think about when Harry met Sally. In her book romantic comedy, Boy Meets
