So what is it about our spiritual experience that motivated you to write a book like this?

It's a common problem, I think, but I think there's, it sounds like there's things in particular that you were aiming at.

Yeah. Well, this is actually a part of a larger project. So this is part of a trilogy that John and I are working on in spiritual formation. We started with where prayer becomes real, kind of introducing spirit formation. And for us, the second question really becomes about developmental spirituality. Like, why does scripture talk about the spiritual life as a life of maturation,

comparing us to infants in Christ who are on milk versus adults who are on solid food?
