Today we're talking about what it is and what it isn't.

And this is also a collab with how God prepares you for marriage.

1:27.2

In this episode, there was a big situation that happened that I'm pretty sure you guys saw on TikTok, on Instagram, where Latoya Luck is sat in the car, and her husband did not open the car door for her, and she sat out there all night long. Literally, there was a scene, y'all, where she's sitting in the car, and the car light was on, because he got out the car and closed the door. Carlight was on and the car light went off. And when the car light went off, God gave me this revelation where God showed me that there are seasons where God will allow you to be in situations where you are experiencing less than you deserve because he's showing you what your standard

2:02.0

is. Her sitting in that car and seeing her husband not only get out the car, close the door,

2:07.5

and go in the house, but also take so long that the car light went off. That was a revelation.

2:14.4

That was the moment. You ever had the light bulb moment where it's just like, oh, you really got me messed up? That was the light bulb moment where she was able to see, this man does not value me. This man does not respect me. And I love this revelation that God has given me because a lot of times people ask, why does a good God allow good people to go through bad things? If God is so good, why does he allow us to go through bad things? And what God showed me is sometimes it takes going through bad things for you to realize it's that because especially when it comes to dating and relationship and marriage, we see a lot of times what we want to see. You see that he's fine. You see that he's rich. You see that he has a nice car. You see that he has a lot of money. So this is what you think you want. So God will give you what you want. The thing about God, and I say it over and over, y'all, God gives us free will. God is not going to force us to live according to the will or the standard that he has for us. So there will be a lot of seasons where the thing that you want, God will allow you to have it because you're going to choose to have it

3:10.9

anyways. I'm not going to force you not to because when we make a decision, God wants us to be a decision of the heart, not a force, right? So when it comes to dating, when it comes to relationship, when it comes to marriage, God allows bad things to happen because I need you to see that you deserve better than this.

3:26.4

I need you to see that the way that he talked to you is not how I talk to you.

3:30.4

The way that he talked to you is not what my word says a man should talk to you.

3:34.1

The way that he treats you does not align with my scripture so I can give you the scripture.

3:38.0

But if you never experience it on your own, you won't understand

3:41.3

how bad things can get until you sitting in the car and that light go off. You're not going to

3:45.4

understand how bad things can get until you crying and praying yourself to sleep because he's hurt

3:50.2

you so bad. And now you realize how important it is to do it God way. God has to allow us to go through
