Good afternoon. Dwayne here. Tachroom Bible Talk. Um, I want to talk about when God doesn't answer prayers.

But that's kind of a misnomer.

God always answers prayer.

We were taught incorrectly sometimes growing up that if you're, in fact, I've sat in an independent Baptist church in a pew and listen to the preacher up there say

God promised that if you're in his will that anything you ask for he would give you

and therefore if you're praying for something God hasn't given to you then you're not living

in the will of God.

Complete foolishness. Complete foolishness.

Complete foolishness.

God never promised you that he would give you anything you ever asked for.

Now, there was a point where he promised the apostles certain things as they went out to spread the gospel but he wasn't talking to you

he wasn't talking to me uh and he didn't promise us those things and god always answers our prayers

the answer may not always be what we want it to be,

but there's always an answer.

Sometimes that answer is no.

No.

Okay.

And we have to be,

we have to be grateful for that.

There's times when my children would come to me when they were small and they would ask me,

Daddy, can I go do this?

And my answer would be, no, absolutely not.
