you... Well, I'd do it if it was necessary. So far, it hasn't been necessary. But we have an

insurrection act for a reason. If I had to enact it, I'd do that. If people were being killed and

courts were holding us up, or governors or mayors were holding

us up, sure, I'd do that.

I mean, I want to make sure that people aren't killed.

We have to make sure that our cities are safe.

And it's turning out, and we started with D.C.

President Trump says he's sending the National Guard

to stop violent crime, protect federal agents, and defend cities that seem out of control. He even said

that he might invoke the Insurrection Act. That's kind of ironic, right? Remember January 6th? They called that an

insurrection. But that insurrection act is a law that allows a president to deploy the military

here on American soil. And it's a power that is extreme. It's meant for true emergencies,

like rebellion, like invasion, anarchy, not just everyday unrest.

It's actually only been used a couple of times in our history during the Civil War, desegregation, and natural disasters.
