You can bring a gun to a protest, and it shouldn't cost you your life, no matter what anyone in the Trump administration says.

So over the weekend, as you have almost certainly heard, Alex Prettie, a 37-year-old ICU nurse,

was shot and killed by immigration enforcement agents in Minneapolis.

He was filming their activity.

He was carrying a gun for which he had a

permit. Trump officials have said he was an assassin, a domestic terrorist, who intended to cause

maximum carnage. And I just think that if you look at the evidence, it's really clear.

They're lying. And not only are they lying, they're lying in service of a really just awful

idea. And it's the idea that it was reasonable, maybe even justified for mass agents of the state

to execute this man face down in the street just for showing up to a protest while carrying a gun,

both of which are constitutionally protected rights.

Emily, I just want to ask, what do you think of the administration's argument here that this was brought on, but Prattie's decision to carry a gun to the protest, and also the way that the

officials have kind of prejudged this and pre-spun a narrative before there has been any investigation,

exactly the same playbook we saw with Renee Good.

Yeah, I mean, Christy Nome got out right on Saturday afternoon, and so did Attorney General Pambandi,

and we're pointing the finger squarely at Prattie. And in such, you know, to the point you just made,
