Maybe more specifically, my question is, would you say it is ever appropriate to bring politics

into the church building? In Nebraska, we are circulating a petition to get a constitutional

amendment initiative on the 2026 ballot,

which states, quote, a preborn child is a person at all stages of development beginning at fertilization.

Whenever under Nebraska law, the term person is used or implied, it includes such a child.

So basically this would be an amendment that would protect a child in the womb.
