Today I want to talk to you as a leader, as an influencer, as an authority in your tribe.

And no matter what you do, you are an authority to someone. Maybe it's to your employees. in your Sometimes you have to let people feel the burn of failure.

Our tendency is to step in and throw water on it.

To be the good guy or gal, the night in shining armor

to help save the damsel or bachelor in distress, to smooth it over, to help them justify, excuse, or even

look past the failure. But that's not helpful. They'll miss the learning. They'll miss the

growth. It takes feeling the burn to stimulate growth. This

happened on our team recently. One of our members missed their numbers. They

failed to deliver on their goal. This is after many months of trying,

warning, and hard work and effort.
