Now, let's move forward in our study of the Book of Acts.

We are in chapter number 13, beginning in verse 13.

And this is an account of how God is working in someone else's life.

And we want to read it very carefully.

It doesn't sound like there's a lot going on when we first read it, but I want to pause

and dry out some things that I think are very important for us to see.

This is now Paul and his companions set sail from Paphos and came to Perga in Pemphilia,

and John left them and returned to Jerusalem.

But they went on from Perga and came to Antioch in Pesidia.

And on the Sabbath day, they went into the synagogue and sat down.

After reading from the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent a message

to them, saying, brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, say it.

Hmm, isn't this interesting?
