I first saw Burnley 61 years ago, when they were reigning league champions, okay,

and I've seen them go right down to the bottom of the fourth division

and now back up and I know you won't say we are but we're back going back to the Premier

League. So first of all, thank you. Not yet. Okay, first of all, thank you for an incredible

season. It has been pretty stunning. Has it gone as you expected it to?

No, I don't think any of us expected it to go this well.

And I think the points is one thing, but I think it's the way we achieve those results as well. And I think the way we established ourselves in the division, I don't think anyone,

it wasn't part of our plans when we had the meetings here six months ago.

But what were your expectations then?

I mean, I signed a five-year contract, so long-term, rebuild.

We knew for sure we had to rebuild. We knew that it was an existing core of the team that was leaving.

We knew we had to get new plays in that was going to create values and assets for the club just to make sure that we could be self-sustainable.

And there was a whole plan around two or three years to make sure that we put ourselves in a position where we can give ourselves a chance to get promoted.

And yeah, things went a little bit quicker than that. But the idea was in the end to
