Hello my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. It is time for you and me

0:07.8

to get our minds aligned with the truth of God. And obviously I don't know if you've ever thought about this before,

0:15.4

but as a person who teaches the word of God regularly

0:18.7

and has done so in churches in various contexts for years, there are times when I come across passages of

0:26.4

scripture that to be quite honest are very uncomfortable for me to preach. And like I said, I don't know if you have thought about that before, but those

0:37.1

who teach the word of God are under a very unique kind of responsibility because there becomes situations

0:48.1

where you come to a passage that needs to be taught but but it somehow could reflect favorably upon yourself and

0:56.8

could seem like you are kind of, you know, buttering your own bread, getting people

1:01.8

to look toward you in a favorable way or even do something

1:05.5

for you.

1:07.2

And what do you do in this situation like that?

1:10.7

1:15.0

know, just avoid talking about the issue? I don't believe any of that is how a teacher

1:22.1

should approach a passage that makes them uncomfortable.

1:25.2

First of all, they need to pray and ask the Lord for strength and wisdom and how to approach

1:29.8

the situation.

1:31.4

But secondly, they should speak by faith the words that God has given them to speak from the

1:38.0

scripture, not making it say more or less than what it says, but rather just being honest and truthful.

1:45.1

And the reason I bring all of that up is because the passage we come across today

1:50.2

in Galatius chapter 6 is one of those kinds of passages where as I speak it as

1:56.1

one who teaches the word of God it could sound like I have a motive that is trying

2:01.8

to get you to do something for me. And friends please know
