real estate agent in Victoria, British Columbia, who had already begun a pretty promising career for herself.

Described by her family and loved ones as popular and caring,

Lindsay was in a committed relationship with a man named Jason Zalo,

whose family owned a successful real estate business.

In late January of 2008, Lindsay got a call from a woman who claimed that she and her

husband were desperately in need of a new home. An urgent call to action, and with a $1 million

budget, Lindsay was unnerved by the call, and noting a foreign accent, asked the woman how she got her personal

cell phone number, especially since she was still a relatively junior employee.

According to the caller, she was referred by a previous client of Lindsay's and was given
