I'm sure that you have tried something that you thought would be fun for you as a couple,

but it turned out to be kind of disappointing.

I can think of some movies early on that we went to.

I thought, oh, she'll love this.

And I quickly learned, oh, she doesn't love this kind of movie.

And Aaron, you work with a lot of couples, a lot of husbands and wives.

How often are they trying something new that they think is going to work because they

saw somebody else doing it?

So often couples will watch those in their immediate circle and watch like, oh, they go

on a date night.

That's great.

So we're going to go on a date night or they're going to this place.

So we're going to do that.

And so there's positives that come from it, but then there's other things I hear from

couples that they try and it doesn't work.

And for example, sometimes couples will come in and say, well, we heard about instilling

this thing in our sex life.

And it ends up not working.

And then they end up in my office talking about it because they have this expectation.
