Going down there was, it kind of felt like I was at the beginning of a horror movie,

where you're in a small town and there are all these strange, potentially interconnected,

but bad things that are happening to people around the town and people are getting sick.

Some of it seems almost mystical or supernatural in a way.

This is Andrew Chow.

He's a reporter for Time magazine, and he's talking about this small town in Texas called Granbury.

Granbury lies about an hour's drive southwest of Fort Worth.

It's a small town, historic town, with, know, a very charming Main Street, opera house.

It's just a small Texas town, tacos, barbecue.

Andrew recently spent a lot of time in Granbury.

Because over the past couple of years, something sort of strange started happening in town.

Yeah, so a lot of people actually who I talked to down there said that they moved out there for

the peace and quiet. There were a lot of people who moved from the city, Fort Worth or Dallas,

or from Houston, to Granbury for the Peace. But in the past couple years,

peace has been a little bit hard to come by. There was this sort of humming noise that emerged,

especially at night when the traffic had subsided and crept into people's homes.

And it's a little strange because, you know, a lot of people sleep with a, like, a white noise machine.

But this, it became different.

It was a different sort of hump.

There was a vibrational aspect to it.

It was rattling people's windows.

It was sort of shaking their beds.
