This October the 7th, exactly one year since that horrific Hamas attack that would go on to

kill around 1,200 Israelis.

100 remain held hostage by Hamas in Gaza.

This is a ruined streets in Niroz, Kibbutz.

There were only six houses in the whole Kibbutz that weren't actually impacted on October the 7th.

Vivian Silver, the 74-year-old prominent peace activist from Winnipeg,

who had dedicated most of her adult life to advocating for Palestinians and against Israeli occupation.

And in a cruel irony, she was murdered by the group Hamas who claimed to be fighting for the very same thing.

Unlike the other Kibbutzim, the Israeli army did not arrive in near Oz until after Hamas fighters

and waves of glutas had already left.

But instead of peace, we are seeing just the opposite.

The Israeli military really ramping up its offenses on multiple fronts.

In Lebanon, first we have seen, in the seen overnight some of the most intense bombing to date, particularly

in the southern suburbs of Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold.

Israel's new invasion of Lebanon means the conflict is now threatening to spiral into a regional

confrontation with Iran.
