High school basketball was absolutely one of my favorite seasons of life.

I have to admit for those that don't know, I was semi-athletic in high school.

I got to play for my high school basketball team.

And I look back at those years so fondly,

which is one of the reasons my heart hurts during COVID and this global pandemic,

because high school sports in this country and around the world,

if you're in other parts of the country, we're talking 10th grade, 12th grade,

that kind of season of schooling in your life here in the United States of America.

High school sports is just a big part of adolescence and growing up.

And COVID-19 has taken that way.

I literally was in Uber yesterday.

I'm told by Uber driver who was a dive master in Thailand.

I am telling you, I'm going to do a whole podcast called Conversations with My Uber Driver.

I have had literally some of those fascinating conversations in my life with Uber drivers,

but this incredible man was sharing about he was a dive master in Thailand.

And then we got to talk about high school.

When he was in high school, I was in high school.

And then we started talking about COVID like we all do.

And I said, you know, one of the saddest things about COVID-19.

First and foremost, it's just the loss of human life that always needs to be said.

People are literally dying.

It is a difficult, painful, challenging time.
