0:07.0	good morning, everyone, and welcome to another morning's with the Masters, where we devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you.
0:17.0	It is just me today, but Chad will actually be reading through our Advent book. So before we jump in,
0:25.8	let's enjoy that. God sent the angel Gabriel to Mary in the village of Nazareth. The angel said
0:32.7	greetings. The Lord has blessed you and is with you. You will give birth to a son and you are to name him Jesus.
0:39.6	He will be called son of the Most High and will reign forever. His kingdom will never end.
0:45.4	The angel also said the holy one to be born to you will be God's son. Even your cousin Elizabeth is going to have a
0:51.3	child in her old age. Nothing is impossible with God. I am the
0:55.9	Lord's servant, Mary answered. May everything you've said come true. Then the angel left her.
1:02.2	Mary hurried to visit her relative Elizabeth. At the sound of Mary's greeting, the baby inside
1:07.2	Elizabeth jumped for joy. Elizabeth told Mary that she was blessed because she believed
1:12.4	that what the Lord said to her would really happen. Mary was engaged to a man named Joseph,
1:18.5	but before they came together, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. The angel told him
1:23.5	that Mary was to have a baby from God. Joseph was to name the baby Jesus because he would
1:29.0	save his people from their sins. He would also be called Emmanuel, which means God with us.
1:35.4	At that time, a decree said that everyone had to go to his family's town to register. Joseph was from
1:40.3	the family of David, so he and Mary went to Bethlehem, which was David's home.
1:45.5	While Joseph and Mary were in Bethlehem, the time came for the baby to be born, and Mary gave
1:50.2	birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in strips of cloth and placed him in a manger, because
1:56.3	there was no room for them in the inn. Shepherds living out in the fields nearby were keeping watch over the
2:02.2	flocks at night. An angel the Lord appeared to them in the glory of God shone around them, and they
2:07.6	were terrified. But the angel said to them, do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy
