If the Holy Spirit were to preach a sermon today in physical form, What would that one sermon contain? What would

the Holy Spirit speak to our generation, to the church? What would he speak to the culture? We

don't have to wonder this because Jesus told us about the Holy Spirit's primary message,

his purpose.

Now, I want to clarify that, of course, the Holy Spirit still speaks today.

He speaks through his Word.

He speaks to the prophetic.

He speaks through preachers and teachers.

So the Holy Spirit, in essence, does preach. But of course, I'm talking about

that scenario that we're imagining here, where the Holy Spirit would take physical form,

stand in a pulpit, and preach a sermon. What would he say? And I think the answer is very

practical because, of course, Jesus tells us. In John chapter 16 beginning at verse number

five is where we'll read, but now I am going away to the one who sent me and not one of you

is asking where I am going. Instead you grieve because of what I've told you. But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don't, the advocate won't come.

If I do go away, then I will send him to you.

And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, of God's righteousness, and of the coming judgment. Verse 9, this is key.

The world's sin is that it refuses to believe in me. Verse 10, righteousness is available

because I go to the Father and you will see me no more. And finally, verse number 11, judgment will come

because the ruler of this world has already been judged. Here we see, if you will, the three-point
