Amen and amen. Good morning and welcome. You can be seated. I want to welcome you and those of you

joining us online. We're so glad that you are on this special day, Mother's Day. I want to start with

just wishing all of you moms blessed today. Today, you moms, blessed today.

Today, you know, if you really think about it, we couldn't have done it without you,

literally.

Well, I know that's deeply profound, but it's true.

Actually, though, on Mother's Day, I am also keenly aware of moms who would have been moms or

used to have moms or it can be a hard day and I just want to say to you that the Lord knows

God bless you. God encourage you on this day that we celebrate as

Mother's Day. Well, we're currently... First John, today's text will be verses 3 through 11 in

chapter 2. I'll go ahead and ask you to stand if you're able,

if not where you're seated is fine,

but if you don't mind,

you can stand to follow along with the reading of God's word.

I'll begin in verse three.

Now is continuing as he writes.

And he says,

we know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands.

The man who says, verse four, I know him, but what he commands is a liar.

And the truth is not in him.

But, verse 5, if anyone obeys this word, God's love is truly made complete in him.

This is how we know we are in him.
