Hello and welcome to rock and roll politics, the podcast with me, Steve Richards.

0:16.3

Thank you for tuning in wherever you are in Britain and the rest of the world. In a minute, if it's okay

0:22.6

with all of you, I'm going to reflect a bit on the Gorton and Denton bi-election. Voting takes

0:29.4

place on Thursday. And there is a feeling that this is one of these by-elections with

0:36.1

consequences. We will reflect on that as well, actually.

0:40.3

And then we come to some brilliant, brilliant emails from those of you joining in the

0:46.4

never-ending debate in the Rock and Roll Politics Cooperative. Before all of that, a few notices.

1:39.1

prominent academy school, bumped to Alex on a train. And he very kindly said he wanted me to read a book

1:47.1

he had written, which has arrived, called the Snowflake Myth. And this is about what he sees as the

1:54.3

myth of this being a generation of, well, snowflakes, whereas he sees no evidence for that at all. So it's quite an optimistic book.

2:03.3

I've only just looked at the beginning, Alex, but I will read it. The Snowflake Myth,

2:07.9

if others of you are interested. Thank you for sending it to me, Alex, and it was nice to

2:12.3

bump into you on a train. One final thing, the rock and roll politics show is live at King's Place in the days

2:20.5

immediately after the May elections, which will be dramatic. I think it's May the 11th. But before
