How did rank choice voting fair in the 2024 elections?

Well, not so well.

The legislatures in five states banned it.

It was just crazy, right? They just came out and said, no, you may not have

ranked choice voting. This is Florida, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, and Tennessee. There was also

anti-ranked choice voting bills introduced in Ohio and South Carolina, but they never made it out

a committee. For some reason, Republicans think that rank choice voting hurts them. It probably has to do with,

you know, Alaska being represented in Congress by somebody who's not a MAGA head. And voters in

four states, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, and Oregon rejected referendums on adopting the new system.
