If you're a regular listener to the show, you know that we are in the last episode of a four-part

series on misused and abused passages of Scripture.

Episode number one was on 2nd Peter 3.9, which states,

The Lord is not slow about His promises come to count slowness, but His patient toward

you, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.

We discussed how the Armenian or the free will or the Wesleyan proponents are using this

passage to refute the doctrine of sovereign election.

And we talked specifically about why that is an incorrect interpretation.

Episode number two, we touched on 1st Peter 2.24, which states,

and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross so that we might die to sin and live

to righteousness for by His wounds.

You were healed.

We looked at how the prosperity preachers have perverted this passage to make the cross

about physical healing from sickness instead of spiritual healing from sin.

We talked about the nuances of that message.
