It is supposed to be Donna Adelson versus the state of Florida, but it appears right now like it is more like Donna Sue Adelson versus daughter Wendy Adelson, the battle over daughter Wendy's

testimony going from legal paperwork. What attorneys love to do is file paperwork and it has now gone

to some live courtroom drama. Tonight we're going to dig deep into this, what it really means

with the judge having to intervene

soon and make a decision about a motion to quash her defense subpoena from wendy adelson's attorney

We've got three powerhouse defense attorneys, one who doesn't practice, but he might as well practice. His wife is an appellate attorney, and you know who he is. I'm going to introduce him in just one second.

Wendy Aylson, for those who do not know, she is Donna's daughter who's set to go on trial

in five days with jury selection starting on Tuesday, and she is the ex-wife of the murder

victim, Dan Markell.

He was killed back on July 18, 2014, shot twice in the head

in his Tallahassee driveway succumbing to his injuries the next day. And we were always thinking

of the Markell family of Ruth, Shelley, and Phil Markell, who will all be at the trial and who

are all a bit on pins and needles

as we approach, and you can't blame them.

First up out of the gates here, we've got a former Leon County, as in Tallahassee prosecutor,

Jeremy Mutz, the Southern gentleman.

He is a criminal defense attorney, a husband, a father, and a man who has chicken,

so he doesn't have to pay for eggs, which is incredibly smart.

Next up, he doesn't have chickens as far as I know.
