One of the shifts that we've seen in recent years is that diversity has become a

0:07.0

synonym for equality. They're very different things. We tend to look at minorities as belonging to

0:15.0

communities and that class is something that applies largely to the white population.

1:40.0

we're both really excited to have with you, tell us who are you? How are you where you are?

1:44.0

What has been the journey through life that's led you to be sitting here talking to us?

1:48.0

If I was to tell you my journey through life, it'll take the whole program.

social and political activism. And much of my writing is about putting contemporary
