Summary

Student housing can be unpredictable—but sometimes, it’s more than just noisy neighbors and creaky floors. Twenty years ago, a group of friends moved into an old, house near campus, the kind of place with strange staircases, oddly placed rooms, and an unsettling atmosphere in certain hallways. By the time they moved out, the house’s reputation had only grown darker… and recent images show it still bears a warning on the front door. Was it all the antics of restless spirits, unhappy with their once-grand home’s new life as student housing? Or something far older, and much less forgiving?

Around college campuses, there's often a lot of very interesting housing, especially in some bigger campuses.

Of course, you have your fraternities and all

themselves. But oftentimes you also have neighborhood houses. In many cases, mansions, large

buildings that have seen technically better days. Now it's a lot of student housing or smaller fraternities get them.

And, you know, they kind of make do they keep them up enough to live in.

0:45.2

But with that being said, what do you think the former inhabitants of some of those structures have to say about their once respected marvelous home now being

0:56.7

used for frat parties and people passing out on the stairs, beer being spilled, woodwork

1:04.1

being disrespected. I would be pissed off about the woodwork being disrespectful if I was the ghost.

1:11.3

Anyway, lots of things can happen.

1:13.5

And in some of those cases, I don't think the spirits are all that happy.

1:18.5

And they still are there.

1:20.2

And they want their dissatisfaction to be known.

1:24.8

That's kind of what happens in our next story.

1:27.3

Take a listen.

This story was from about 20 years ago when I was a student living in my first student house.

1:48.9

You would not have thought there was anything special about the house.

1:52.3

It was on one of the main roads close to the city center,

1:55.1

with other businesses and houses nearby and other houses attached on other side.

2:01.6

However, inside the house, it was quite run down, crooked, where the walls throughout didn't seem

2:08.6

to quite match up to the floors properly.
