Announcement on a report on Thursday morning that has moved now beyond the report phase because

everybody's reporting it which means this is going to happen. There may be an official announcement

by the time you guys hear this podcast. UCLA and USC joining the big 10 potentially as early

as 2024, we're going to get into why we think this is happening, what it means, what the end

game is, but Nathan Bear, let's start with the initial reactions when you heard you heard this,

hey, that's far away, that's California. It doesn't seem like big 10 territory. I will,

can I read you guys this? You know, you know, you start to read things. I thought this summed up,

this move pretty well. This is the second paragraph of the Los Angeles time story on this.

This is the second paragraph. The schools are aiming to leave as early as 2024 and the migration

is expected to include all sports except beach volleyball. I was like, that's where we are now,

like we're having a, we have a beach volleyball caveat with teams joining the big 10, nothing

makes sense. Nathan, what do you think? Well, well, that makes sense because there aren't necessarily

a lot of beaches in the big 10 footprint. Can you imagine if it was like, and the University of

Juneau is joining the big 10 in all sports except ice fishing, like we're in the caveat world,

where we're so regional with our sports and it's like, it's like, well, you know, there's no beach,

there's no beaches here. There's no beaches here. And I've seen like sand volleyball here in Columbus,

so they would, they would figure it out, but obviously that's the smallest footnote on this story.

I mean, my initial reaction was the one that I sent to our textures, which is that I thought this

was both shocking, but not surprising. If that, I know that sounds a little bit basakwards,
