Ahead of an expected address to Congress tonight, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky

met with President Biden at the White House. It's his first trip outside the country

since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February. Our DC reporter Daniel Acheslo has more.

President Biden welcomed Zelensky to the White House and promised the US would be by Ukraine's side

for as long as it takes. During a press conference from the White House, Biden accused Russia of

using winter as a weapon. We should be clear about what Russia is doing.

It is a purposely attacking Ukraine's critical infrastructure, destroying the systems

that provide heat and light to Ukrainian people during the coldest, darkest part of the year.

Zelensky arrived as the administration announced a new $1.85 billion military aid package,

including a Patriot missile battery for Ukraine. This week, US lawmakers are expected to approve

$45 billion more in military and economic aid for Ukraine and US allies.
