And I'm Mate Aaron.

And the reason I'm saying it that way is because I'm in Hungary for the first time

visiting the place of my father's birth.

And here, I learned while being here.

I can't believe I didn't know this by first time here.

That's how you say your name. You say the last name first. So I'm Matt to Aaron. I'm Halper

Katie. Yeah. It's just been funny. Like I'm here with my dad and my siblings. And so we're walking

around and if my dad gets recognized, people will go up to him and say, what's a gub? What's a guber? You know, and look, being in one's actual

homeland, it's a powerful thing to be here for the first time to see, you know, went to my dad's

childhood home, went to the glass house where he took refuge as an infant with my grandmother,

his mother to survive the Nazi Holocaust. This is a place

of refuge for Hungarian Jews where hundreds of people were packed into an old glass factory,

living in conditions the way it was described, sounding exactly like people in Gaza right now

who are going through their own Holocaust. And, you know, the emotion one feels and being

in your, you know, motherland is what, you know, Israel tries to do to Jews from around the world

when they come to Israel. But it's fake because most Jews are not actually from the land of Palestine.

They're from places like where I'm visiting right now. And so I just want to encourage everyone to go visit their actual motherland.

Not a fake one, if you can.

Yeah.

So a lot of people who are calling Israel their motherland, just go back to Long Island.
